2374 -- Burgoine is destroyed in the Dominion war. All hands are lost except Ensign Sharp who left the ship the day before on a LOA, purportedly to visit her dying mother on Earth. Investigations show that her mother was not in poor health, nor was Kyrsten on Earth during the bulk of her leave

2374 -- Arrested upon arrival to Earth for the last day of her LOA and charged with treason and espionage related to the destruction of the USS Burgoine. Held for 7 months during the investigation.

2375 -- Exonerated of all charges made in connection with the destruction of the USS Burgoine and released.

2375 -- Receives assignment to the USS Heroic as NavOps at the request of Commander McGuinnes

2375 -- Receives promotion to Lt. JG. Is reassigned to the Daystrom Institute as a test pilot on a joint research project for a prototype engine. The research is called off after 4 months of unsuccessful tests.

2375 -- Accepts assignment to the USS Alliance as Assistant Chief of NavOps and Escort pilot.

2376 -- Promoted to Chief NavOps after prior department head was demoted for disciplinary reasons.

Lt. Sharp is a bright and capable officer, and her natural talents have lead her to pursue a career as a navigator and pilot. She is cool under pressure, although her tendency to internalize stress and conflicts may lead to problems in the future.

She still exhibits some trauma from the loss of her husband and crewmates of the Burgoine. The feelings of guilt and loss were further compounded by a lengthy inquiry into the potential role she played in the destruction of the ship. All records of the inquiry have been classified and sealed.

Kyrsten Sharp is declared mentally fit for all duty.

Description:

Kyrsten is short for a human at 5'2", and very fit. She maintains her physique meticulously through strength training. Her muscle density is higher than appearances might lead the casual observer to believe. Her movements are swift and efficient.

She is a natural blonde, with green eyes and an attractive face and figure. She tends to be quiet, but is not shy, and will speak her mind when she feels the situation calls for it, and has been known to use brutal honesty to make a point. Her personality is friendly, but not bubbly. She is usually considered reserved when not with close friends.

Background:

Kyrsten was raised by her mother and step-father. There is no record of her biological father's identity, and her mother suffers from amnesia. She was found in the ruins of the Galladan Colony after its destruction in 2352, 7 months pregnant with severe head trauma. None of the other surviving colonists could identify her or who might have been the child's father.

Her interest in piloting stemmed from her experiences with ultra-light aircraft in the Adirondack Mountains. The first was given to her by her parents. The two dozen she possesed after that were all designed and bult by the young teenager.

Kyrsten Parlou and Joshua Sharp were married two years after her graduation from the Academy. They were on separate assignments for the first year of their marriage until a post was found for them to serve together. Lt. Joshua Sharp was killed by the destruction of the Burgoine early in 2374.

Disciplinary Notations:

Kyrsten Sharp was held on charges of treason and espionage from February until September of 2375 under house arrest. The charges were dismissed after a six month inquiry, and the files classified and sealed.
